Ep 26 – Sarah Radley from Stitched by Sarah
Sarah Radley is the founder of Stitched by Sarah, creating handmade scrunchies, hair accessories, makeup bags and device sleeves from beautiful fabrics. After a sudden health collapse caused by chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia and Hypermobile Ehlers‑Danlos Syndrome (later joined by a new ADHD diagnosis) Sarah turned to sewing as a way to rebuild confidence, find purpose and create a business she could run within her limited energy.
In this episode, host Julie Woods talks with Sarah about developing a sewing business while navigating chronic illness, ADHD and the realities of low‑energy entrepreneurship. Sarah shares how she uses structure, creativity and adaptive tools to manage her work, how she refined her products through markets and customer feedback, and how the My Business Starter programme helped her take courageous steps forward. She reflects on resilience, purpose and the joy of creating practical, well‑made accessories that brighten everyday life.
