Whangārei Meet the Candidates
Join candidates from the Tai Tokerau, Northland, and Whangārei electorates as they answer the same questions on issues that matter to our community. This is a fully accessible, non-partisan event, hosted by Tiaho Trust in collaboration with DPA. More info here.
Date: Tuesday 6 October
Time: 9.30am to 11am (doors open 9am)
Location: Cafler Suite at Forum North, 7 Rust Avenue, Whangārei
Cost: Free
Accessibility: Wheelchair-accessible facilities, NZSL interpreters, accessible parking, support people welcome, accessible transport provided by Parafed Northland and TLC4U2.

IHC Vote for Inclusive Futures
National Disability Election Forum
Nothing about us without us. Disabled people deserve equal access, real choice, and a government that removes barriers instead of creating them. Join us in Wellington or online for the 2026 Disability Election Forum and hear directly from the representatives from political parties.
Date: Wednesday 7 October
Time: 4pm to 6pm
Location: Te Wharewaka o Poneke, 2 Taranaki Street, Wellington (or online via Zoom)
Cost: Free
Accessibility: A hearing loop and New Zealand Sign Language Interpreters will be available at the event with live captions available for those participating online. If you have any accessibility requirements please add these in the registration form.

Hawke’s Bay
These forums are an opportunity to hear directly from local candidates and ask questions about issues that matter to disabled people, whānau and our wider community, including disability support, housing, employment, healthcare and more with a live Q&A to finish.
All major parties are confirmed as attending. Both hui are free for anyone to attend and accessibility support is available, including wheelchair-accessible venues, accessible parking and NZSL interpreters. RSVP today!
