Lion Foundation grant warms up our national office
CCS Disability Action is delighted to acknowledge a generous grant from The Lion Foundation, which has funded a much-needed heating upgrade at our Wellington national office – making the space more comfortable and welcoming for our hardworking team and the many groups we host throughout the year.
Our national office plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in supporting the work of our 17 branches across the motu. From coordinating national services and advocacy to supporting our awesome staff, the team here helps ensure disabled people and their whānau receive consistent, high-quality support wherever they live.
We regularly host hui, training sessions, and collaborative meetings with sector partners. The heating upgrade has made a noticeable difference – especially during Wellington’s colder months – creating a more comfortable environment for everyone who uses the space.
“This upgrade has been a real boost for our team and the wider disability community who use our building,” says Irene Wilson, National Executive Assistant, who managed the project. “We’re so grateful to The Lion Foundation for recognising the importance of our national mahi and investing in the wellbeing of the people who make it happen.”
“CCS Disability Action plays a crucial role in ensuring disabled people across New Zealand have access to high-quality, inclusive services that adapt to their evolving needs. At The Lion Foundation, we’re proud to support their mahi and contribute to creating a warm, welcoming environment at their national office. It’s a privilege to support an organisation that is so deeply committed to empowering disabled people and strengthening communities,” says Tony Goldfinch, Chief Executive, The Lion Foundation.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to The Lion Foundation for their support. Their generosity helps us continue our mission to see every disabled person woven into the lives of their whānau and community.
