Claire Dale is on a mission to see a substantial increase in fines and more cohesive enforcement for mobility parking abuse.
She has lodged a petition with the House of Representatives.
"I believe we need national enforcement, larger fines and legislation that covers both public parking (currently only by-law) and private-land parking (supermarkets, blocks of flats, schools, shopping malls). I believe fines must be enforced equally across New Zealand. 24% of Kiwis have a disability. Help uphold the rights of the 150,000 mobility parking permit holders."
Thank you Claire for taking up this issue!
