Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)

This role offers you an exciting opportunity to use your skills within the Whanganui community which contributes to improving the health and wellbeing of disabled people.

Job specific information

This role coordinates services provided by CCS Disability Action. You will work in partnership with individuals and their families to develop, deliver and/or coordinate a range of person-directed services that aim to empower and enable the individual to achieve their personal lifestyle goals.

About you

We are looking for people who:

  • Have experience working in a social services agency, and in particular working with disabled children/youth/adults, their families/whānau and significant others.

  • Can demonstrate a willingness to be creative and innovative in delivering services.

  • Have networking skills and knowledge of government, non-government, and private sector services available within the community.

  • Have an understanding of person and family centred planning and community development concepts.

  • Are committed to providing quality customer services.

  • Have strong time management and organisational skills.

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills.

  • Hold a relevant qualification(s) in Social or Community Services. This is desirable but not essential.
