Fundraising Advisor – Individual and Community Giving

Job description Fundraising Advisor – Individual and Community Giving

Job location: Negotiable throughout New Zealand

Hours: Part-time, permanent, up to 35 hours per week (flexible and part-time working arrangements available)

CCS Disability Action is entering an exciting new chapter, with a simplified structure and a clear plan to revitalise individual giving in 2026. This new role will lead the growth of our individual and community donor base through smart, data-informed fundraising across direct mail, digital, and regular giving.

Job specific information

You will design and deliver a calendar of appeals and campaigns, manage relationships with our face-to-face fundraising agency and key suppliers, and build a stronger regular giving programme that focuses on donor retention and lifetime value rather than one-off gifts.

Working closely with our National Coordinator – Donor Management, Database Coordinator (Finance), Fundraising Advisor – Bequest and Major Donor, and Communications Team, you’ll turn insight from our CRM into action to improve return on investment and supporter experience.

Key focus areas:

  • Plan and deliver multi-channel appeal campaigns (direct mail, email, social and digital) that grow income and attract new individual and community donors.

  • Grow and steward our regular giving programme, including recruitment, retention, and upgrade activity in partnership with our face-to-face agency.

  • Use data and segmentation from our fundraising database to understand donor behaviour, measure campaign performance, and continually improve ROI.

  • Work collaboratively across CCS Disability Action to ensure donor communications reflect Te Aronui, disabled people’s leadership, and our commitment to accessibility.

Our organisation takes a social, rather than medical approach, supporting disabled people to live their best lives. We are guided by the Enabling Good Lives principles, shifting power and authority back to disabled people and their families, to increase choice and control in their lives.

About you

You will bring:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in fundraising, with a strong focus on individual giving, direct marketing and/or regular giving in the not-for-profit sector.

  • Confidence planning and delivering campaigns end‑to‑end, including working with external agencies and suppliers.

  • Strong CRM and data skills – comfortable using reports and metrics (e.g., response, retention, ROI) to shape decisions.

  • Excellent written communication and an ability to craft clear, donor‑centred messages based on knowledge of best-practice fundraising fundamentals.

  • A genuine commitment to disability rights, accessibility, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and values‑based fundraising.

  • It would be great (but not essential) if you also have experience in disability, health or social services and knowledge of Te Ao Māori.
