Are you trustworthy, reliable, have a positive outlook on life and have some spare hours each week?

We are seeking a support worker to support a man in his 20s to participate in activities he enjoys, including basketball, disc golf, going for walks, and participating in social groups and other activities. Due to the individual’s preferences, a male support worker is preferred for this role.

The position is for 6 hours per week with support provided over two or three days. There is some flexibility about how these hours are delivered.    

It would be ideal if you live near Motuoapa, but not essential as support can be provided in the Taupo community.

This role offers you an exciting opportunity to use and develop your skills by providing quality support.  Our work is undertaken alongside disabled people, their family/whānau and supports the individual’s needs in a person directed, creative way. Support Workers will work with disabled people to complete daily tasks and be involved in their chosen activities such as employment and leisure activities. Your responsibility will be to ensure that our work undertaken with disabled people, their family/whānau, and our related community partners, is of high quality.

  • Have a positive attitude and can support positive interactions.

  • Experience is not required but is welcomed.

  • Full licence required.
