Job description Education Support Worker

Job locations and hours:

  • Ponsonby - 4 days (16 hours per week) with possibility of continuing as teacher aide at school

  • Pakuranga - 5x mornings (15 hours per week) and 5x afternoons (15 hours per week)

  • Mount Wellington - Wednesday and Thursday (5 hours per week)

  • Glen Innes - 5x mornings (12.5 hours per week)

  • Henderson – 5x mornings (20 hours per week)

Flexible hours available during school hours (no school holidays).

Job specific information

We are seeking ESWs to fill a number of positions across Auckland. The ESW is a member of the Early Supports Team at CCS Disability Action Auckland and provides direct support to early childhood centre staff to support the inclusion and development of all children.

We would love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience of working with children up to 5 years of age and/or children with additional learning needs.

  • Are a team player who can work well with a diverse range of people.

  • Are an excellent communicator.

  • Are available to work during school hours, particularly the mornings.

  • Have access to transport to travel to your place of work (15 – 20 minutes of travel time).

  • Have access to the use of a smartphone to be used for work purposes.
