About us
We are committed to creating communities that are good at including all people.
"We work with disabled people and communities...to ensure decisions are made by disabled people."
This is from our latest annual report (PDF 1.45 MB). A large part of our role is supporting people with disabilities to be 'in the driver's seat' of their life, to achieve their own dreams and aspirations - by having the skills, confidence and resources to influence family, friends, colleagues, society and government.
With sixteen branches around the country, we provide frontline support and services, and create local awareness and education around disability issues.
Our National Office in Wellington is responsible for developing policy, setting and monitoring standards for the organisation and working with other organisations and government to change attitudes.
CCS Disability Action is an incorporated society and a registered charity, governed by a board and managed by a national management team.
If you would like to know more about our values and the work we do, have a look at the CCS Disability Action Strategic Priorities. It outlines our work priorities for the next two years and talks about the values and visions behind our work with people with disabilities and their families and whanau.
