Phil Hope - Chair
Phil Hope has served on committees and boards within CCS since 1989, becoming an elected member of the National Board in 1996, and elected Chair in August 2003.
As Chair he is always working toward the goal of all disabled people to enjoy the basic human right of being able to live an ordinary life. Living an ordinary life involves interaction with people of different ages, gender, ethnicity and sexuality.
Phil lives in Oamaru with his wife and two sons. He trained as a Barrister & Solicitor and is now the Principal of Hope & Associates Legal and prior to that Partner of White Polson Hope.
Fraser Boddy
Fraser has been on the National Board of CCS for 9 years.
He grew up in Dunedin and graduated with a B Comm from Otago University having studied economics and accountancy, He became a Chartered Accountant (now retired) and is a past member of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (MREINZ).
His working life was with the Fletcher Challenge Group where in more recent years he held positions of: Resident Director Latin America based in Sao Paulo, Executive Chairman, of the Groups retail activities including American Express NZ, Centurion Finance, Group Rentals, Hertz Rentals, Selectrix, Wrightcars, and Wrightcars Finance. He was also a director of Toyota NZ and Liquigas. Currently, Fraser, now living in Auckland, is an Investment Fiduciary™ providing financial services to charitable and family trusts, institutions and high net worth individuals.
Fraser gives his “pro bono” time to helping “achieve a better future for people with disabilities”. He on the National Board of CCS and is a trustee of the Wilson Home Trust. Recently, he retired from the Executive Committee of CCS Auckland and as a trustee of the Jubilee Trust.
Russell Vickery
Russell first became involved with CCS in the early 1970's when he attended a number of camps organised by CCS. Since then Russell has held various roles in a number of disability organisations, including Parafed, TalkLink, Ripple Trust and CCS in the early 1990's. Russell was elected onto the National Board in 2001.
Now CEO of Ripple Trust, Russell has also been a Disability Consultant, lectured at Auckland College of Education, and has a Masters of Education majoring in Disability Studies.
An active sports person, Russell played competitive disability sports from 1977 to 1998, representing Auckland and New Zealand. He was a member of the New Zealand Paraplegic Boat Team, completed a 1000km trip of the River Nile and circumnavigated Western Samoa.
