LIBRARY & INFORMATION SERVICES

The CCS Disability Action Information Service provides a comprehensive range of information about disability. This is both a practical and academic library suitable for a wide audience from researchers to new parents with little knowledge of disability.

The extensive library catalogue can be searched online.

The library has information on such a wide range of subjects, including:
 · Inclusive education
 · Accessible building, lifetime design and other access topics
 · Parenting children with disabilities, including issues for siblings
 · Personal development topics, e.g. self-esteem, friendship
 · Information on specific disabilities and impairments, e.g. cerebral palsy, autism, Down    syndrome, developmental delay
 · Living in the community
 · Being a parent with a disability
 · Disability awareness

The Information Service can send you a search from one of our databases or access a number of web-based databases. We specialise in searching for disability information on the Internet.

Working closely with other libraries and information services in the disability and health sectors, both in New Zealand and overseas, we will point you in the right direction if we cannot help you.
