Changing Hearts and MindsCCS Disability Action aims to affect change in communities so disabled people have access to the same opportunities as all other New Zealanders.
We are guided by the New Zealand Disability Strategy, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Treaty of Waitangi and a community development approach.
We pride ourselves on being leaders, being innovative, and being collaborative. We act, and we constantly reflect, on what has been achieved and how to achieve more. Together we can shift our society forward to make it more inclusive of disabled people.
Influencing GovernmentCCS Disability Action works to ensure the rights of disabled people are acknowledged and included in all aspects of life. We work with central and local government. We raise issues politically, make policy submissions and seek to achieve full citizenship for all.
