CHIEF EXECUTIVEClick here to view the organisational structure Viv Maidaborn started as CEO with CCS in February 2004. She has a Bachelor of Social Policy and Social Work and a Post Graduate Certificate in Health Management. Viv believes it takes energy and passion to work toward a society that is truly inclusive and where disabled people are recognised for the contributions they make in their communities.
“We believe that everyone has the right to live an everyday life. To achieve this, we work in partnership with disabled people and their families in ways that support people to set life plans and achieve their goals around ordinary things like having fun, work, relationships, learning, hobbies and family”.
As CEO, Viv reports to the National Board who is responsible for setting national strategy, policy and ensuring financial viability and accountability. Viv has been involved in key projects while at CCS including Let's Get in Early, Lifetime Design, Taskforce for the Prevention of Family Violence, Inclusive Schools, and the rebranding of CCS.
Prior to being at CCS, Viv has been CEO at Relationship Services, and held senior positions within the disability sector. Viv lives with her partner Marion and Marion's mother on the South Coast of Wellington.
